About Linda

Linda Landon, ACC, is a business and recovery coach, speaker and trainer. An International Coach Federation Associate Credentialed Coach, she has been certified by the New Agreements Coach Training and Leadership Institute, trained by Crossroads Recovery Coaching, and mentored for four years by don Miguel Ruiz, author of the New York Times bestseller, The Four Agreements®. She is also a certified Speaking Circles® Facilitator and author of The Power of Pause: simple meditations for complicated lives.

A Master Toltec teacher, Linda integrates principles from The Four Agreements and The Work of Byron Katie with her innovative process, The Power of Pause, into her coaching, speaking and trainings. She mentors business professionals to connect with their inner genius so they can be authentic, resourceful, focused, successful, and happy. She also teaches leaders how to speak in front of groups without fear.

One of the greatest gifts Linda offers others is the power of pause. She is an expert at guiding clients to stop, take a breath and rest in the moment. In the silence that ensues the mind ceases its incessant chatter, space opens up and something new and unexpected can occur. People re-connect with their creativity, find new answers to previously unsolvable problems, relinquish their fear, and access a sense of deep peace. Inspired by her clients’ experiences with the power of pause, Linda recently published her first book and CD, The Power of Pause: simple meditation for complicated lives, as a way to share this practice with a wider audience.

Linda has more than 20 years experience in marketing, sales, business consulting and coaching, and is the president of Linda Landon & Associates, an international coaching and training company based in Los Angeles. Previously, she worked as a Marketing Manager for Harper & Row Publishers in New York before opening her own business in somatic therapy - Responsive Touch. She also created and directed the Continuing Education Department and administered Registration for International Programs for Byron Katie, world-renowned author and creator of "The Work".

She serves as vice-president of WAAT (Women's Association for Addiction Treatment), is a mentor coach for PCMA (Professional Coaches, Mentors, and Advisors), and is an active member of the Los Angeles chapter of ICF (International Coach Federation) and RCI (Recovery Coaches International).

Linda's clients envision what they really want and design their lives and businesses to realize that vision. They are held accountable as they take action to make their dreams a reality. When they feel stuck or overwhelmed, she guides them to shift from the inside out, so they can get back on track and move their businesses and lives forward.

Coaching business professionals in recovery is one of Linda's specialties. She mentors them to grow their businesses in a way that supports their sobriety. She teaches people in recovery - and the professionals who treat them - how to use The Power of Pause to quiet the chatter in their mind so they can remain calm in any situation.

Linda's passion is to listen deeply, ask questions and guide her clients to look within so they can access their spirituality and unlock their potential. Using her innovative process, The Power of Pause, they learn to stop the mind’s incessant chatter, identify what's not working, determine what's REALLY going on and uncover limiting agreements, beliefs and thoughts. With her guidance they shift these thinking patterns and take powerful, focused action to improve their lives.
